Chronos
God of Time
Chronos is the primordial personification of time in pre-Socratic philosophy and later Orphic cosmogonies, distinct from but often conflated with the Titan Cronus. Depicted as a serpentine deity or an elder figure turning the zodiac wheel, he represents the linear, unstoppable march of the ages. As the father of the Hours and the abstraction of duration, he embodies the force that drives the universe from creation toward inevitable entropy.
