Tezcatlipoca, known as the Smoking Mirror, was a central and omnipresent deity in Aztec mythology representing the night sky, winds, hurricanes, enmity, and sorcery. As the rival of Quetzalcoatl, he embodied the unpredictable nature of destiny and the chaotic forces of change, possessing the power to bestow immense fortune or bring absolute ruin.
